Of course by the time you add Microsoft Office and virus protection it's $500. Anyway, great little laptop for the money with plenty of I/O (USB, SD, HDMI, etc.). Should even have enough RAM to run some of my engineering software tools. Good battery life.

It has withstood an overseas military deployment and a backpacking trip around Europe. I've taken it all around the world with me, and haven't a single issue, even in the most harsh desert environments. It comes with everything you need to get started, however, like other reviewers have pointed out, Microsoft Office and anti-virus software is a must. It has enough memory for regular day-to-day use, plus more. As a musician, I have editing software programs installed, and it works great. This computer is an excellent value for the money.
