Unbelievable!, February 23, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sony L Series VPCL232FX/B 24-Inch TouchScreen Desktop (Black) (Personal Computers) RIght out of the box-BAM! it all worked it and I was completely amazed. The speakers blasted, the picture blazed and the processor whispered. Super fast, super good and the touch screen was accurate. I wanted to put surgical gloves on to keep the prints off but they wiped clean. No doubt that this is the best on the market.

Excellent hardware, but, operating system brings some performance problems., March 17, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sony L Series VPCL232FX/B 24-Inch TouchScreen Desktop (Black) (Personal Computers) This computer is absolutely beautiful, very well made ''and very well packed. The screen is large and looks great. What most impressed me is the technology they have used to the touchscreen. Sony has a technology of infrared light on the screen to make the touchscreen work with any object that just touches the screen. This screen is not resistive or capacitive. So you can put the tip of a pencil on it and it works perfectly. The processor is very fast, so the computer boots Windows in under 30 seconds.
The description of the item at the time of purchase is confusing because first says that the computer comes with a 1TB hard drive, but far below is a small section that says it comes with a 500GB hard drive. The disappointing reality is that it comes with a 500GB disk.
The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium. Has some details of operation. For example, WinDVD 10 can not read a DVD, it takes between 5 and 10 minutes to start a DVD and sometimes the program... Read more

Not a Media Center PC., March 19, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sony L Series VPCL232FX/B 24-Inch TouchScreen Desktop (Black) (Personal Computers) I bought this with the intention of using this computer as a media center pc. It has HDMI in and RCA video inputs which suggests that it has a tuner. The description on Amazon is very vague. I had to look it up on Sony's page to verify and get some more specs. All I was trying to do was replace my old VAIO which is a media center pc(is a really nice DVR that works all over the house). So I set the computer all up hook up the dish receiver and I get an error on media center, "no tuner found" after updating drivers and talking with Sony for 30 min, came to find out that THE VIDEO INPUTS "ARE JUST THERE IN CASE YOU WANT TO USE THIS SUPER EXPENSIVE COMPUTER AS A MONITOR FOR YOUR GAMING SYSTEM". The computer doesn't even have a tuner. If you are looking for a really nice computer, this is it. If you are looking for a media center pc, this is not it.
